Youth and community activities
Welcome!
The Youth Club has served the community in the old building since 1972 and we love working with young people in our new building which has excellent facilities for young people to socialise, meet and form new friendships.
Relax, Socialise & Play Pool
Young peple can relax in the social area which is ideal for playing board games, doing arts and crafts. We also have a pool table and an air hockey table as well as TV’s to sit back and enjoy.
The sports hall is a fantastic area with football nets and basketball hoops already in place. We have a wide range of other sporting equipment such as table tennis, hockey, and badminton to name but a few.
The young people also have the oppertunity to go on trips. In the past we have had trips to ‘Wet and Wild’, ‘Ten Pin Bowling’ and the Ice-rink. Young people also have opportunities to learn new skills such as cooking.

Junior Club
Junior Club is run by volunteers from The Salvation Army and local people. It is a good starting point for the young people to establish friendship and develop social skills.
All the above opportunities are aimed at encouraging teamwork, team spirit and an element of competition allowing the young people to develop skills in communication, negotiation, physical abilities, hand to eye co-ordination and problem solving using their minds.
We like to encourage young people to have a say in what they want to have in the club so that they feel that it is their club as generations before have done.
We have use of our own minibus and in Holiday Club we have several trips to the local area and coast.
